Quiz questions about student conversations
College students on the discussion platform Sway talk with a classmate who disagrees with them about a contested question. Afterwards, each student answers a short quiz about what their classmate argued.
You will answer four of these quizzes, 5 questions each, about conversations that you have not seen. We want to know how well people can answer them without having taken part.
- Some questions will feel like guesses. That is expected. Pick the answer you think is most likely right.
- You earn a bonus of 3 cents for every correct answer, paid through Prolific after the study.
- Please answer on your own. Do not use AI tools, search engines or other people. We are measuring what a person can work out.
- It takes about 25 minutes. There are two simple attention checks.
Your answers are stored with your Prolific ID only, used to evaluate and improve Sway's quizzes, and never published in a way that identifies you. The conversations are published examples in which the students' names were replaced with pseudonyms. You can stop at any time by closing this page. Questions: message the researcher through Prolific.
